Girls Finish as State Champion Runner-Up The Grand
Blanc Lady Bobcats (21-4-0) finished the 2004 season as the Division 1 State
Champion Runner-Up. The Bobcats lost in the Championship game to Northville by
the score 1-3. To reach the finals, the Bobcats defeated Grosse Point South by a
score of 2-1 in the semi-finals. Earlier in the tournament, they defeated
the Clarkston Wolves by a score of 1-0 to earn the title of District 14
Champions and the Traverse City Central Trojans by a score of 2-0 to become
Regional Champions. This is only the second time in school history that a Grand
Blanc Team has finished State Champion Runner-Up. The first time was in 1987
when the Boys Team finished as runner-up to East Lansing after they lost in
overtime by a score of 1- 2. Click
